Thanksgiving Church Services 2019

On October 11th, Talsi Christian Secondary School was celebrating Thanksgiving day with two wonderful church services. The first church service (grade 1-6) was opened by the youngest bell ensemble’s group. Later, the students sang songs «I Believe» and «Jesus At The Center». Two sketces were shown, the main message of which was to think about how much pain we do to each other not noticing that we hurt Jesus himself.

The second church service was also led by the pastor of Talsi Church «Dzīvā Ūdens Straumes», Aivars Straume, but teacher Aija Valgelina testified about God’s work in her life. The church was filled with beautiful songs and bell sounds. Students from grades 10 to 12 sketched the importance of telling the truth and not gossiping, which made everyone who was present reflect on their choices before it is too late.

We are grateful for this beautiful afternoon spent in a spiritual reflection.

Pļaujas svētku dievkalpojumi 2019

11. oktobrī ar diviem brīnišķīgiem dievkalpojumiem Talsu Baptistu dievnamā tika atzīmēti Pļaujas svētki. Talsu Kristīgās vidusskolas 1.-6. klases dievkalpojums tika atklāts ar skaņdarbu jaunākās zvanu ansambļa grupas izpildījumā. Vēlāk skolēni dziedāja dziesmas «Es ticu» un «Jēzu, visa centrā esi tu». Tika rādīti divi skeči, kuru galvenā vēsts lika aizdomāties par to, cik daudz viens otram darām pāri, neaizdomājoties, ka tādējādi sāpinām pašu Jēzu.
Arī 7.-12. klases dievkalpojumā viesus uzrunāja Talsu draudzes «Dzīvā Ūdens Straumes» mācītājs Aivars Straume, bet liecību par Dieva darbiem savā dzīvē sniedza skolotāja Aija Valgelina. Dievnamu piepildīja vairākas skaistas dziesmas un zvanu ansambļa skaņas. Vidusskolas skolēni rādīja skeču par to, cik svarīgi ir teikt patiesību un nebaumot melojot, kas lika katram klātesošajam pārdomāt savas izvēles, pirms ir par vēlu.
Esam pateicīgi par skaisto pēcpusdienu, kas pavadīta garīgās pārdomās.

October – Four-legged Friends’ Month

From September to October, each student at Talsi Christian School was given the opportunity to donate dog and cat food, as well as warm blankets and pillows to be passed on to animals craving for some treats or new, soft sleeping arrangements in the autumn. On the morning of October 5th, members of the School Parliament, along with its leader Alla Ankmane, went to the Talsi Municipal Animal Shelter «Ausma» to caress and delight at least some of the little four-legged friends.

Teachers’ Day 2019

On October 4th, our school hosted Teachers’ Day events. The students in each class had come up with interesting and creative ways to spend time with teachers within one lesson. Students from grade 1 congratulated their teacher Ginita Petrovica with wishes attached to bright and colorful maple leaves. Grade 2 and 3 students greetes their teachers Ligita Treimane and Guntra Jansone with questions about their childhood, favorite subjects and other questions of interest to children. Grade 4 congratulated their teacher Sigeta Naudiņa with apricot muffins and other homemade gifts. Grade 5b students greeted their teacher Linda Brunava with a theatrical exclamation, while grade 5b students greeted their beloved teacher Santa Krūmiņa with roses and songs the children had learned. Grade 6a allowed their teacher Gundega Paure to play the role of a real lady with a fan and a hat for a moment, but grade 6b delighted teacher Anita Orehova with cookies, juice and candles. Grade 7 students tested their teacher’s Kristīne Vecbērza’s wit with tricky questions. Grade 8 had provided champagne and marshmallows to enjoy while watching the movie with their teacher Anda Bernāte. Grade 9a teacher Lienīte Gūtmane was introduced to the tasting of different meals, while grade 9b entertained their teacher Edgars Kviesis with questions and puzzles. Teachers Alla Ankmane and Sigita Rathena enjoyed elaborate cocktails and travel videos together with grade 10. Kristīne Neifelde, the teacher of grade 11, was greeted with a theatrical performance and various games. Students of grade 12 delighted teachers Vilnis Zarakauskis and Aija Valgelina with tea, chocolate cake and heart-warming conversations about life.

After these events in school, all teachers went to celebrate the holiday outside the school.

Oktobris – četrkājaino draugu mēnesis

No septembra līdz oktobrim katram Talsu Kristīgās vidusskolas skolēnam tika dota iespēja ziedot suņu un kaķu barību, kā arī siltas segas un spilvenus, lai tie tālāk tiktu nogādāti tiem dzīvnieciņiem, kuri rudens vēsajās dienās alkst pēc kāda kārumiņa vai jaunas, mīkstas guļvietas. 5. oktobra rītā Skolēnu domes dalībnieki kopā ar tās vadītāju Allu Ankmani devās uz Talsu novada pašvaldības Dzīvnieku patversmi «Ausma», lai samīļotu un iepriecinātu vismaz daļu no mazajiem astaiņiem.
