Inter-provincial educational puzzle game «I AM WISE!»

On the afternoon of November 12, the first inter-provincial educational puzzle game «I AM WISE!» was held in the Great Hall of the Talsi People’s House.

The event was dedicated to the 101st anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Latvia – 70 different questions about and around Latvia were asked, some of which also reflected our city – Talsi. In the intense competition between teams from 13 other schools, Talsi Christian Secondary School’s team – teacher Vilnis Zarakauskis, Madara Balandina (grade 7), Edvarts Uzulnieks (grade 8), Agnese Imandra Rozenberga (grade 9b), Marta Kalāce (grade 11) and Asnate Feldmane (grade 12) – won

Latvian Freedom Fighters’ Remembrance Day – Lāčplēsis Day 2019

On November 11 this year, we celebrated the 100th anniversary of victory over the West Russian Army commanded by Pavel Bermondt-Avalov in Riga. The annual illuminated torch procession led people across the Talsi from downtown to the monument «Koklētājs» to honor fallen soldiers, youth and volunteers who fought for an independent Latvia. This year, when the Latvian Army is celebrating its 100th anniversary, the making of the ceremony was entrusted to the Talsi Christian Secondary School’s students. The 10th grade symphonic band (teacher Jānis Smilga) and the 9th-12th class choir (teacher Kristīne Broka-Melķe) performed, but the event was moderated by the 11th grade student Abigaila Ieva Valgelina. The ceremonial speeches were given by Inguna Gruzniņa, the director of Talsi Christian Secondary School, Dainis Karols, the Chairman of Talsi County Council and Andris Pešelis, the pastor of Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Starpnovadu skolu prāta spēļu konkurss «ES I’ GUDRS!»

12. novembra pēcpusdienā Talsu Tautas nama lielajā zālē norisinājās pirmais starpnovadu izglītības iestāžu prāta spēļu konkurss «ES I’ GUDRS!». Pasākums tika veltīts Latvijas Republikas proklamēšanas 101. gadadienai – tika uzdoti 70 dažādi jautājumi par un ap Latviju, no kuriem dažos atspoguļojās arī mūsu pilsēta – Talsi. Talsu Kristīgās vidusskolas komanda – skolotājs Vilnis Zarakauskis, Madara Balandina (7. klase), Edvarts Uzulnieks (8. klase), Agnese Imandra Rozenberga (9.b klase), Marta Kalāce (11. klase) un Asnate Feldmane (12. klase) spraigā konkurencē starp 13 citu skolu komandām izcīnīja godalgoto pirmo vietu. Paldies lieliskajai komandai par ieguldīto darbu un ziedoto laiku, lai pasākumā piedalītos. Mēs varam!

Lāčplēša dienas lāpu gājiens 2019

Šā gada 11. novembrī atzīmējām simto gadadienu uzvarai pār Pāvela Bermonta komandēto Rietumkrievijas armiju Rīgā. Ikgadējais lāpu gājiens veda ļaudis cauri Talsiem no centra līdz pat piemineklim «Koklētājs», lai godinātu kritušos karavīrus, jauniešus un brīvprātīgos, kuri cīnījās par neatkarīgu Latviju ar gaišu nākotni. Tieši šogad, kad Latvijas armijai aprit simts gadi, svinīgā pasākuma priekšnesumu gatavošana tika uzticēta Talsu Kristīgajai vidusskolai, kas arī tika godam izpildīta. Muzicēja 10. klases pūtēju orķestris (skolotājs Jānis Smilga) un 9.-12. klašu koris (skolotāja Kristīne Broka-Meļķe), bet pašu pasākumu vadīja 11. klases skolniece Abigaila Ieva Valgelina. Svinīgās uzrunas teica Talsu Kristīgās vidusskolas direktore Inguna Gruzniņa, Talsu novada domes priekšsēdētājs Dainis Karols un Septītās dienas Adventistu draudzes mācītājs Andris Pešelis.

«Bībelē teikts, ka Dievs liek tautām laikus un robežas, kurās tām dzīvot, bet cilvēks nedzīvo no maizes vien. Arī šodien mums ir vajadzīga lielāka ideja, un es domāju, ka manai paaudzei, manu bērnu paaudzei un manu mazbērnu paaudzei lielajai idejai vajadzētu būt – noturēt un nosargāt Latvijas brīvību un neatkarību. Un to mēs varēsim tikai tad, ja mums šeit būs stipras ģimenes, kuras dzīs saknes savā dzimtajā zemē. Dievs, svētī Latviju!» ar lepnumu balsī vēstīja Inguna Gruzniņa, un mums sacītajam atliek vien piekrist.
